What does the recipe volume actually include?

The Herbarium of Family Recipes compiles up to twenty recipes as you supply them, sets each one in a herbarium-style plate layout with a short descriptive note, and delivers two printed softbound copies together with a digital file. The content is yours; we provide the editorial structure and the typesetting.

How does the garden memory plate visit work?

We arrange a single visit to the property, take photographs of the garden as it currently stands, and record what you share about its planting history — what grew, who cared for it, and when things changed. From this, we produce a single printed plate that can be framed or filed. The visit is informal and conducted at your convenience.

What material do I need to supply for an estate compendium?

We work with whatever the household has — old photographs, handwritten notes, documents, letters, recorded conversations, household inventories. You do not need to have everything sorted in advance; part of the engagement involves an initial review of what is available and a discussion of how it might be arranged.

How long does the estate compendium take?

The Estate Reference Compendium is produced across five months. This includes the initial material review, the editorial arrangement of content, design and typesetting of the approximately sixty-page volume, and the printing of two copies. A project calendar is agreed at the start of the engagement.

Are these services available outside Kuala Lumpur?

Recipe volumes and compendiums are conducted largely by correspondence and can be arranged from anywhere in Malaysia. The garden memory plate requires an on-site visit; please enquire about availability for locations outside the Klang Valley.

What are the payment arrangements?

Pricing for each service is stated clearly before any engagement begins. For the recipe volume and garden plate, full payment is arranged prior to commencement. For the estate compendium, a staged payment schedule is agreed at the start of the project. All transactions are in Malaysian Ringgit.
